Julesta - (Version 1) Front

A recent LQ snip of my work on creating this character in Maya from the original sketches (I should probably do a render later.) This is the second character I've ever made. Since I never practiced drawing faces, I ended up spending way too much time trying to make this one look alright....and that was before I was studying anatomy more like I am now....Further use of reference shall be implemented in the future, for sure.

Either way, this is without any textures so far other than the hair, eyes and eyelashes, so I'm looking forward to adding some patterning to the outer clothing and some borders. Other tasks shall include finishing the hair texture in SAI/Photoshop, texturing in appropriate folds and wrinkles in Mudbox, covering other seams in Mudbox, normal mapping stuff with CrazyBump...aaaaaaaand rigging all of the clothing and the character to be able to animate it. This is going to be a lot of work, but a lot of fun.
