• I'll be spending most of tomorrow commenting on every single entry. I'll figure out a way to organize that. Seriously though, thank you so much for doing all this and I'll try to be as fair as I possibly can.
• Speaking of fairness, tomorrow after the judging of the contest is also when the "Popular Vote" polls will begin to determine the additional prize winner in the coming weeks. I'll admit, this is part of just being curious as to what people will think vs what I come to as a conclusion. Bear in mind, though, the 1st and 2nd prize winner will not be eligible for this, as that's just a bit much to take it away from everybody else. Honorable Mentions and 3rd place, however, are a different story.
• Then again...I'm still kinda working that out. So we'll see how it goes...but somebody's winning $50 and polls are going to be voted on, so stay tuned, everybody! Thanks!

• I've gotta take a day to judge all of these. Seriously, this competition is nuts. q.q
• So by that measure, the part where it says everything ends at GMT -5, September 18th 11:00 PM is still true, but I won't be judged until Monday. I can't just decide in a few hours like that...So this isn't an extension, since it's already placed at that time on the countdown. Just gotta take some time. You guys are too good. XD

• Also, just a random thing here, but if you've already submitted a piece and you'd like feedback, send me a note and I'll give a comment. I've been trying to leave off comments in order to be a bit more objective and impartial, but I understand that a response also be useful for improving the work before the deadline as well. It would be more along the lines of critique than showing favoritism to just answer a note privately, rather than seeming like I'm favoring one entry over another.

• This makes it easier for the list to be kept automatically rather than typing people down and allows for a central location for everything involving the group.
• If you are not watching at least the Voleno page, make sure to at least join or watch the VolenoContest page, otherwise your entry will not be counted.

• Draw any of my characters wielding their specific weapon or using their magic in a dynamic pose!

• Full Color
• You're permitted to design costumes for the other 6 "new" characters so long as they fit the fantasy theme or element, but it is highly recommended to stay with the original design. 
• Minimum of 1 character.

General Rules

• Minimum of one character. Multiple characters are encouraged, but not required.

• Entries must be full body and full color.

• Poses must include the weapon and some sort of dynamic movement or pose. 

• No changing the age and physical appearance of the younger characters. Please do not make them older and change their body types. There are older characters to draw, for different body types. (Nephryst, Rona, Shastir and Lia.)

• Any traditional media form of color will be accepted so long as it is neatly applied. (No Photo-manipulation, though.)

• More than one entry may be drawn, but you will not be able to place in multiple categories in terms of honorable mentions or other prizes, if you win.

• You may resubmit any entry at any time within the contest period.

• Art contest entries will be featured on this contest journal and the contest journal in the contest group. 

• No blood and gore.

FAQ

How do I enter the contest? Raffle?

• Join the VolenoContest group indicates your interest in entering the contest. 
• You must be a watcher in order to join the group.
• If you are entering only the raffle, make a comment here with the proper entry form.
• You are allowed to enter the raffle without entering the contest.

When's the deadline?

• September 18th.
  
• The cutoff for entries is September 18th at 8:00PM EST.
  

What do I draw?

• Draw one or more of my characters in a dynamic or action pose with their weapon out.
• The entry must be full body and full color. 
• Background is not necessary, but appreciated, of course.
• Regular outfits are preferred for submission to the contest. 
• This is referring to making new costumes for characters. A few characters have alt costumes at this point, so those are still available. (Especially Neph, since she has like 30+ thanks to the contest. @.@)
  

Can I draw chibis?

• Yes indeed. Though I'll be frank, I will be looking for a very high amount of quality from this kind of style if it is to be considered next to what else I'll be seeing. It will make it a bit difficult with the requirements, but I'm sure you'll figure it out.
  

Can I draw your characters with my characters?

• If you want my characters to be fighting somebody, and that somebody is one of your characters, I suppose that's fine. Just as long as the prominently featured character is the one belonging to me. Sounds more egotistical than it should, but I just mean that it'd be unfair to reward someone for just drawing their own character and sticking mine in there on the side.
  

Can I alter and change the character costumes?

• Yes. I would prefer if the altered costumes are still kept within at least the same kind of shape as before. If clothing is removed, I'd prefer if it was kept mostly "appropriate". Nothing about being "kid friendly" or anything, just would rather not have that influence the contest.
• Removing things like armbands and legbands and shoes is alright so long as the design overall still looks like the character. (Though I love Shastir's glasses, so it'd be great if you kept those. q.q)
• Battle damage is acceptable as well, though I still encourage keeping it decent. I don't want people to think I chose an entry just because it was sexy. It's just to be fair, (and plus I like my character costumes...q.q)

Can I use a base or trace a screenshot?

• No and no. Also, how did you travel into the future and get a screenshot of my game...? Can I come with you next time, I really wanna play it...
  

How do I submit art to you when it is finished?

• Send it to the group's "Entries" gallery.
  

Who is judging the contest?

• I'm judging it alone this time. Might ask some friends as well, but the final opinion is mine.
